The History of M/S Prins Carl Philip

In 1901, M/S Prins Carl Philip was built at Bergsund's Mekaniska Verkstad as a steamship named S/S Nya Hillersjö. She operated on Lake Mälaren with the task of picking up and delivering grain and vegetables for sale at Salutorget in Stockholm. Over the years, the ship has changed its name several times, first to Bayard, then to Hönö, and to Bayard again, and finally, in 1981 she was named M/S Prins Carl Philip.
