The westernmost point of Gothenburg
Welcome to Vinga - a beautiful island in the archipelago and a nature reserve since 1987. This is where Evert Taube grew up - a famous swedish composer, poet, author and artist - and his childhood home is now the well visited Taubemuseum at the island. Take a walk around the island and enjoy the beautiful nature, watch the waves hit the rocks, visit the lighthouse or take a swim in the ocean from one of the many cliffs.

Boat life and arts
Marstrand is an island with unique architecture, pittoresque houses and a popular place for boat life. At Marstrand there are lots of things you can see and do - stroll around in the harbour and enjoy the view of beautiful boats, visit one of the shops with design and crafts or explore an art exhibition at the art gallery. If that is not enough, try the spa at Marstrands Havshotell or enjoy food and drinks at any of the restaurants or cafés - there are plenty.

Gothenburg Amazonas
Säveån is known for its rich birdlife and fishing waters, it is called “Gothenburg Amazonas” for its leafy and lush atmosphere. Rare birds such as kingfisher and moorhen resides here, and ducks, geese and swans hibernate here in the winter. It is hard to beat this experience if you want to explore the nature and birdlife of Gothenburg.
