The Classic Canal Cruise

This is a classic route. It´s a perfect way to experience the beautiful landscape stretching from Stockholm to Gothenburg. This classic route has been maintained since the company was founded in 1869.

Step aboard one of our classic canal ships on a four-day journey between Sweden´s two largest cities. The ships are historical and preserved to reflect the times when they were built, we´d like to describe them as nostagically luxurious.

Our large and considerate crew are always close at hand, and strive to fulfill your wishes on board. 

On our journey between the country's two largest cities, you will pass no fewer than 66 locks, eight lakes, three canals, one river and two seas. The cruise includes three nights’ on board with all meals and six cultural stops along the way.

- The impressive lock staircase in Trollhättan with a total drop of 32 metres and the Canal Museum
- Sweden’s smallest ferry, ”Lina”, in Töreboda
- Forsvik with the oldest lock in the canal, built in 1813
- Karlsborg Fortress, offering a journey through time and space
- Motala, the capital of the Gota Canal
- The convent church of Vreta and the remains of Sweden's first convent 
- The Viking community of Birka, Sweden’s first town
