The Great Swedish Cruise

Welcome onboard ‘The Great Swedish Cruise’ – a six-day journey between Gothenburg and Stockholm, where you travel serenely along the fantastic and historic Göta Canal.

Watch the Swedish countryside unfold in front of you as the captain navigates his way along the peaceful waterways.

This is our premium product with many international passengers onboard. Unlike the four-day cruise the canal boat is docked every night giving you more time to enjoy the journey as well as the company on board.

The beautiful landscape surrounds our waterway as we slowly travel through the country. Our journey follows a blue ribbon through the heart of Sweden. Regardless the season you travel, it is a wonderful experience.

During shore visits and overnight stops you will have the opportunity to participate in guided tours to some of the foremost sights Sweden can offer.

Other highlights of the trip include:

- The impressive lock staircase in Trollhättan with a total drop of 32 metres and the Canal Museum
- Sweden’s smallest ferry, ”Lina”, in Töreboda
- Forsvik with the oldest lock in the canal, built in 1813
- Vadstena, home to Saint Bridget
- Motala, the capital of the Gota Canal
- The convent church of Vreta and the remains of Sweden's first convent
- The Viking community of Birka, Sweden’s first town

You can look forward to meeting an exciting and international mix of passengers.
