Start your day with a peaceful tour to our closest archipelago island Fjäderholmarna where a guided walk is given.
On our way out, we’ll pass the Old Town with its beautiful old buildings followed by the newly-built area, Hammarby Sjöstad, just a few minutes later.
Our guide will tell you about the sights and places passing by. When we’ve reached our destination, we’ll go for a guided stroll and there will also be time for coffee or a snack in the morning sun.
The boat is back in the city by 11.00 and you have the whole day ahead of you. If it’s a beautiful sunny day, you might choose to stay at the island and take a later boat back. The return ticket is valid all day.
Part city. Part archipelago. Total enchantment!
Fjäderholmarna was once the last stop for people living in the archipelago transporting goods to Stockholm. This is where they took a drink before rowing the last bit in to the city. Today the island is a popular destination for both Stockholmers and tourists; especially when the sun is shining.
The island group consists of four islands: Stora Fjäderholmen, Ängsholmen, Rövarns holme och Libertas. Libertas is a bird sanctuary and visitors are not allowed on the island. Stockholm Sightseeing docks at Stora Fjäderholmen, the largest island.
If you take a later boat back we would like to recommend a visit at the craftsmen’s shops. We will pass the shops during the guided walk but they will not be open that early.
There is a small café where breakfast and lunch is served. They even make their own sherbet; lovely on a warm summer´s day!
Rökeriet is a small restaurant where they smoke and serve salmon, mackerel and shrimp.
Fjäderholmarnas Krog, dating back to the 17th century is open all year and serves top notch food.
