Summer in Hemavan

The Swedish mountain world has lot to offer and with Hemavan as a starting point, the holiday can't be anything else but perfect. How about biking, canoeing or fishing - all in one week?

Bring your bicycle along to the top
Hemavan is a fantastic place for bicycling. By bicycle you will discover small paths and favourite spots you won't find by car. If you like speed, you can also ride your bicycle down one of the prepared free-ride tracks. Norrliften (the north lift) is equipped with a bike-holder and you can rent a bicycle at a number of different places in Hemavan (and even in Tärnaby).

Glide through water in a canoe
Listen how the mountain whispers when you slowly glide through water in a canoe. In Hemavan there a number of places to rent a canoe and gliding through the water of the mountain world is an exceptional close-to-nature experience. You will find calm rivers, small rapids and fantastic lake systems ready to be discovered during one or many days.

Ready for luck in fishing
Salmon trout, Char, Canadian Char or Whitefish - what do you want for dinner? Pack your fishing rod and trek out, but don't forget to buy a fishing license for the right area. In the area around Hemavan and Tärnaby, there is a wide range of waters to choose from, from easily assessable family waters to untouched mountain areas.

Stay in comfort
The Inn at Hemavan is open both summer and winter. The main building itself is an old Västerbotten farm from the 18th Century and is furnished with a restaurant and many double rooms. Here you will find a sauna and hot tubs and if you want your stay to be self service then you can rent apartments or cottages directly connected to the main building.
