Western Harbour (Västra hamnen)

The Western Harbour is home to the Turning Torso, but this is not the only fantastic structure you can find here. Take a walk or bicycle tour along the harbour area and you will pass by many unusual residential buildings with an eye on the environment.

If you follow the waterfront promenade, called “Sundspromenaden”, you have the sea and the harbour on one side, and the residential area called Bo01 on the other. Here you will find unique buildings with names such as Tegelborgen (Brick Castle), Friheten (Freedom) and Sundsblick (View of the Sound).

Relax on the wooden deck, enjoy the view and then take the opportunity to have a delicious lunch at Torso Twisted. This restaurant is unfortunately not, as we might have wished, at the very top of Turning Torso, but is situated right at the foot of the building in the Turning Torso Gallery.

If you feel like taking a dip in the sea, then all you have to do is dive in. In the summer, the wooden deck along the waterfront promenade is packed with sunbathing holidaymakers, and with such a fantastic view of the Sound, it is not surprising that the Western Harbour has become so popular.
