Limhamn lime-stone quarry

The lime-stone quarry is an impressive place with special prerequisites for plants and animals.

The area is equivalent to 150 football courts. In the stone there are fossils of coral, sea-urchins, shark teeth and crocodiles.

The foundation of the Christ-statue in Rio de Janeiro was built with stone from Limhamn lime-stone quarry.
