Life on board

The key to our trips is enjoyment and where the purpose is to experience another way to travel and another manner of pleasure. The pace may be something new for modern people, but it is basically a classic way to travel and socialize.

You feel it at once as you walk the gangplank - whether you're boarding the M/S Juno, Diana or Wilhelm Tham, you've entered history. The standard may be a bit old-fashioned, but still nostalgically luxurious.

Much of what is experienced on this trip comes from the unique atmosphere on board our ships. Not to mention that travelling on this hand-excavated canal between Gothenburg and Stockholm each traveller becomes part of an unmatched history that already stretches over three centuries.

You will see Sweden in summer dress from a new perspective, ranging from the magic woods of Tiveden to historic castles an manors. For many living cultural landscape with more anonymous farms, animals and fields are as rewarding as the Vadstena Monastery Church, Karlsborg Fortress or canal builder Baltzar von Platen's grave.

Breakfasts, two-course lunches and three-course dinners are not only part of the price - they are peaks of as great height as locks, castles and cities.

In the left hand menu you will find more information about life on board.

"An opportunity to experience life aboard an historical boat whilst enjoying the culture, history and nature. Also, the wonderful crew and especially the captain for looking after their guests so well."
